RegretIt ("the App") is developed by PLAYRIOT LLC ("we", "us"). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data stored on your device: All regret entries (item names, amounts, photos, categories, severity levels) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.
AI-generated content: When the App generates roasts, milestone images, or personalized suggestions, it sends the purchase amount, item name, and severity level to our server-side proxy, which forwards the request to Google's Gemini API. No photos or personal identifiers are sent.
Sign In with Apple (optional): If you choose to sign in, we receive only the email address (or private relay address) that Apple provides. We do not receive your Apple ID password or other Apple account information.
No analytics or tracking: We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks. We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or usage patterns.
RegretIt offers optional Pro subscriptions and lifetime purchases through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment information.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. The only external service that receives any data is Google's Gemini API (via our server proxy) for generating AI content, and it receives only anonymized purchase details — never photos, names, or identifiers.
All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete individual entries or all data at any time from the Profile tab. If you sign in with Apple, your account can be deleted by signing out, which removes all server-side session data.
The App is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The App does not require an account to function.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
