How do I log a regret?
Tap the big + button. Enter the price, name the item, pick a regret level (Barely / Some / Big), optionally snap a photo and pick a category. Save. The AI roast generates a couple seconds later and attaches to the entry.
Where do the roasts come from?
An AI model is given the item name and the price (no other info) and asked for one sharp line. The roast lives on your entry forever. You can tap any entry to re-roll the roast if you don’t like the one you got.
Can I write my own roast?
Yes. Long-press the roast text on any entry to edit it. The custom version replaces the AI one.
What if I’m offline?
Logging works offline. The roast generation needs internet, so it’ll queue and run once you’re back online. Your entry saves immediately either way.
What are the milestones?
$1K, $5K, $50K, $1M of total damage. Each tier unlocks a milestone card with an AI-generated image of what you could have bought instead. Tropical vacation, sports car, down payment, that kind of thing.
How do I share to Stories?
Tap the share icon on any card — Total Damage, Wall of Shame, weekly recap, streak counter, or milestone. Pick Instagram Stories, TikTok, Snap, X, or Save Image. Cards are 9:16 by default.
Do shared cards have a watermark?
Free shares include a small RegretIt watermark. Pro removes it.
Can I share individual roasts?
Yes — long-press any entry and pick Share Roast. Generates a single-card share image with the item, price, and roast line.
Do I need to sign in?
No. The whole app works offline without an account. Sign in only if you want to back up across devices — Settings → Account → Sign in with Apple.
How does cloud backup work?
If you sign in, your purchase log is encrypted and synced to our server. Open the app on a new device, sign in with the same Apple ID, and your data restores within a few seconds.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Settings → Data → Export Log generates a CSV with date, item, price, category, regret level, and roast for every entry.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app to wipe local data. If you signed in, Settings → Account → Delete My Account wipes the server copy and revokes Sign in with Apple within 24 hours.
What does Pro unlock?
Unlimited regret entries (free caps at 10), AI roasts on every purchase (free uses a limited template set), deep stats, milestone images, and watermark-free Stories share cards.
What are the prices?
Weekly: $2.99/wk with a 3-day free trial. Lifetime: $19.99 one-time, no recurring charge. Lifetime is the same price as ~7 weeks — that’s the math.
How do I cancel weekly?
Open Settings on your device → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → RegretIt → Cancel. Or tap Manage Subscription inside the app.
How do I restore lifetime on a new device?
On the paywall, tap Restore. Must be signed in with the same Apple ID that originally purchased.
